Policies
Privacy policy
This draft describes the proposed policy. Management must review and approve the arrangements before publication as a final policy.
Draft - to be reviewed by the Centre's management and legal adviser
What we keep
For a learning consultation request we keep your name, email, country, time zone, chosen programme and slot, your consent record and, if supplied, WhatsApp number and note. We record whether the request concerns a child; we do not ask for the child’s birth date or separate contact details.
Why we use it
We use these details to respond, arrange placement and a learning consultation, and plan appropriate teaching. Registration, progress and assessment records support learning when you enrol. The draft does not authorise unrelated marketing or public sharing of your enquiry.
Keeping learning private
Registration details and class lists stay private. Learners may ask to join with a first name only. Teachers receive only the learner information needed for their assigned classes. Certificate verification displays only status, display name and level to someone holding the exact code.
Class recordings
Classes are recorded for catching up. Access should be limited to the relevant learning group, and participants must not redistribute recordings. Management must confirm recording notices, consent arrangements, access controls and retention before final approval.
Access, correction and deletion
Contact the Centre to ask about your information, request corrections or request deletion. For a child, a parent or guardian should make the request. Management must confirm how requests are verified, any lawful reasons for retaining records, retention periods and the privacy contact before approving this policy.
Nigeria Data Protection Act awareness
The Centre recognises the need to handle personal information responsibly with awareness of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. This draft needs legal review of lawful grounds, children’s data, service providers and any international transfers; it does not claim that these reviews are complete.
Payments and billing records
Bachs processes card payments through its hosted checkout. Card details do not pass through Centre servers. The Centre stores invoices, receipts and bank-transfer proofs to manage billing. Management and its legal adviser must review lawful grounds, retention, provider arrangements and any international transfers before approving this draft.
